Lassi is a traditional yogurt drink that is popular in North India. Made with yogurt, water or milk and seasonings, it can be made sweet or salty.
Spicy Lassi
2 cups chilled yogurt into a deep bowl and whisk until smooth.
Add 3 T sweetener
1 pinch of saffron
Add 1/2-3/4 t. cardamom powder
Whisk until all is dissolved.
Add 1/2-1 c. chilled brewed tea* (Try mango tea, peaches, sipping mint, turmeric glow, spicy tulsi)
Adjust liquid to how thick you want according to the type of yogurt used until drinkable.
Whisk until frothy
Salted Lassi
2 cups chilled yogurt into a deep bowl and whisk until smooth
1/2 t. cumin powder
1/4 t. garam masala powder
1/8 t. good salt
splash or pinch of sweetener
Whisk until all is dissolved.
Add 1/2-1 c. chilled brewed tea *(Try toasted almond herbal, orange bliss or toasted almond black tea)
Adjust liquid to how thick you want according to the type of yogurt used until drinkable.
Whisk until frothy
