Tea Fruit Gummies

Want to know a wonderful way to get nutrition from tea and fruit and at the same time quench thirst?

Gummies from tea and frozen or fresh fruit. In the summer gummies can help us cool down and be refreshed with little calories.


Tea fruit combinations could be Blueberry Breeze Herbal and fresh or frozen blueberries, Ginger Strawberry Herbal and fresh or frozen strawberries, Hibiscus Berry and fresh or frozen raspberries or blackberries, Peach Hibiscus, Peaches Herbal or Peach Rooibos with fresh or frozen peaches. Mango Herbal or Hawaiian Rooibos with fresh or frozen mango. Amazing possibilities!


1 3/4 c. water

3 packets powdered gelatin or 3/4 oz. or use agar agar powder

2 tea bags of choice

8 oz. 1 3/4 c. fresh or frozen fruit pureed

1/3 c. honey


Line an 8x8 in baking dish with parchment and let the excess hang off 2 sides. Set aside.


Place 3/4 c. water in a large bowl and sprinkle with gelatin in an even layer and set aside for gelatin to bloom. (thicken)


Bring remaining 1 c of water to boil over high heat. Remove when boiling and add tea bags, cover and steep 5 minutes. Remove and discard tea bags after squeezing gently the excess.


Place saucepan back on medium high heat and add fruit and honey. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture comes to a boil and fruit is tender. Immediately pour over gelatin and let sit 1 minute. Whisk until gelatin is dissolved and pour into baking dish. Refrigerate until set.


Lift "gummy" block out of dish with parchment handles and place on a cutting board. Cut into 1" cubes.


Keep these yummy gummies refrigerated. Share the fun with your children or grandchildren don't keep them all to yourself.
