Relaxing Herbal Face Steam

For an easy way to relax try this herbal face steam. The aromatherapy from the herbs will relax and calm but it also cleanses and opens up pores in your face. I like to use rosemary, peppermint and lavender but thyme, basil, lemon balm, rose petals and chamomile are also powerful.


For one face steam:

6 cups water

1/2 c fresh rosemary

1/2 c. lavender flowers

1/2 c. fresh peppermint


Bring water to a boil and pour over the herbs in a medium sized heat proof bowl. You can add essential oil if you choose. Let cool briefly.

Hang a towel over the back of your head, then lean over the bowl to allow the steam on your face trapped by the towel; slowly inhale. If it feels too hot at any time, remove your face from the bowl.


Repeat once daily for as long as you like and watch the stress evaporate.
