Cilantro
This herb is an annual and grows to 10-12 inches high. Small delicate white flowers appear as temperatures warm and the plant bolts. It enjoys the cooler parts of the growing season. It is also known as Chinese parsley and is a member of parsley family. All parts are edible. I really enjoy the stems.
Sow untreated seeds outdoors in early to mid-spring or start indoors and transplant in mid to late spring. Seeds do not germinate well in the heat of the summer. Space plants 8-10 inches apart and provide moderate water. This herb is easy to grow and is lovely.
Cilantro is good for digestive health. I enjoy this herb also in salads and with rice.
