Blueberry Black Tea Smoothie

Consider this bright purple smoothie for your morning caffeine fix. Prepare the night before by preparing the beets, juice cubes and tea.

1 cup black tea from Healing House Herbs. Pomegranate Rosehip Black, Toasted Almond Black, Blood Orange Black are especially delicious. Brew 2 bags or 1 T. loose and 8 oz. of water.

1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries

1 c. beets, cooked, peeled and chopped

1/2 banana

1 1/2 t. maple syrup

2 frozen cranberry juice cubes or 1/4 c. cranberry juice

4 ice cubes

pinch of sea salt

Makes 2 servings.

Place ingredients in the blender as listed. Blend until smooth. Add more ice if you prefer it frostier. Sweeten to taste.
